Buy a treadmill belt replacement, and it could save you thousands.
The $80-$150 price tag doesn’t include a treadmill, but the belts are typically manufactured to last at least 20,000 miles, according to Recode.
A lot of the belts in this price range will be a mix of standard and extra-large sizes.
A typical treadmill belt is around 4.5 inches wide, and the belts can stretch up to 5.5 times their width, according the company.
To replace the belt, you’ll need to replace its innermost plastic casing.
You could also buy a new belt or even buy an extended version of the belt and just replace the innermost metal casing with a new one, which will last about the same.
The cheapest treadmill belt replacements are made of high-strength steel and are priced at $80 for a 10-inch belt and $100 for a 20-inch one.
That means they could be a good deal if you only want to replace the outer casing.
But a lot of people will want to use the belts with the belt itself.
If you’re a heavy-user like me, then the belt can be replaced in less than an hour.
And if you’re not a heavy user, then you probably won’t need to worry about replacing the belt all the way to the outside of the treadmill.
The belt will just slide in and out of the wheel.
Recode says you could also get the belt replaced using an air compressor.
However, if you want to go one step further, then a replacement belt is probably not the way for you.
Recode explains that you need to make sure that the belt is not worn through or punctured.
The reason for that is because a belt that has a lot more metal inside could crack under the weight of the machine, and could potentially cause the belt to break.
