Borussia Dortmund has completed the signing of RB Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland. The Bundesliga club announced on Sunday that the 19-year-old has put to pen a four-and-a-half deal, the deal which is said to be in the region of 20 million euros ending any speculation of joining Manchester United to unite with his countryman.
He became famous with his performance in this season’s UEFA Champions League group stage, breaking a host of records at a very young age by scoring eight goals in his first 6 successive Champions League appearances. He has managed to score 18 goals in just sixteen appearances for his club Salzburg and this tally shows why he was highly linked with moves to clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool.
With January transfer window set to open 1st of January, the Norwegian striker was once tipped to reunite with his compatriot Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford due to the pair’s prior working relationship at Molde. Nevertheless, it is Borussia Dortmund who eventually made an early swoop for one of the most sought after young players in Europe.
